Remove the lift and tilt end cap/spool lock block. (See End Cap/Spool Lock Block Removal And Installation on Page 20-40-13.)
Remove the spacer (Item 1) and O-ring (Item 2) [Figure 20-40-85] from the tilt spool.
Remove the two tubelines (Item 1) [Figure 20-40-86].
Remove the three bolts (Item 2) [Figure 20-40-86] from the spool centering block.
Installation: Tighten the bolts to 90 – 100 in.-lb. (10 – 11,3 Nโขm) torque.
Remove the spool centering block (Item 1) [Figure 20-40-87] from the control valve.
Check and replace the O-ring (Item 2) [Figure 20-40-87] before replacing the spool centering block.
Remove the tilt spool, centering spring, back-up washer and spool seal [Figure 20-40-88].
Installation: Always use a new spool seal.
Put the linkage end of the spool in the vice [Figure 20-40-89].
Install the spool tool (Item 1) [Figure 20-40-89] over the centering spring.
Remove the bolt (Item 1) [Figure 20-40-90] holding the centering spring to the spool.
Installation: Tighten the bolt to 90 – 100 in.-lb. (10,2 – 11,3 Nโขm) torque.
Remove spring tool from the spring assembly.
Inspect the adapter (Item 1), collar (Item 2), spring (Item 3) and washer (Item 4) [Figure 20-40-91].
Remove the spool seal(s) (Item 1) and the back-up washer (Item 2) [Figure 20-40-92].
Installation: Always use a new spool seal.
