The main relief valve limits the hydraulic system pressure by opening at a certain pressure and allowing the hydraulic oil to flow back to the hydraulic reservoir.
The hydraulic system pressure is regulated by several components. The main relief valve must be adjusted during the pump testing procedure for accurate relief valve settings. (See HYDRAULIC PUMP on Page 20-50-1.)
