Remove the lock nut (Item 1) and spacer (Item 2) [Figure 70-60-14].
Installation: Tighten the nut to 45-55 ft.-lbs. (61-75 Nm) torque.
Use the following procedure to remove the fan from the shaft.
Install the nut (Item 1) [Figure 70-60-15] on the tapered shaft to protect the shaft and threads.
Install the puller on the fan as shown [Figure 70-60-15].
As the center bolt (Item 2) [Figure 70-60-15] is tightened, periodically strike the bolt head to loosen the fan from the shaft.
Remove the fan from the tapered shaft [Figure 70-60-16].
To remove the blower housing mounting plate, remove the six bolts (Item 1) [Figure 70-60-17].
